About me and my reading arc

Hello there. I am Amitesh. Welcome to BookJelly – my home on the Internet.

If you’ve arrived here, it means you’re probably just like me – an avid business book reader.

I started this blog in late 2017 to share crucial ideas from the books I read with a larger audience.

Over the last three-and-a-half years, BookJelly has become more than just a blog. The site now hosts all my writings related to categories such as Entrepreneurship, Productivity, Marketing, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Philosophy and many more.

I write both long-form and short-form content for my readers. You can sit down with a cup of coffee and peruse the long book review of Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search For Meaning.

If you are in a hurry and want to grab only the big takeaways from Frankl’s book, you get access to those, too, in the form of beautiful Pinterest-worthy images.

In order to make navigation as easy to follow as possible, I have created 3 broad sections on BookJelly, each with a specific form of content:

  • Book Reviews – I read a lot and I like to share my perspective with the world. So this section is naturally the engine of this site. You can glean the reviews of both contemporary and classic business books.
  • Blog – Sometimes a book inspires me to think about a new productivity hack or just a new approach to life. These thoughts and musings can be found under Blog posts section.
  • Pearls of Wisdom – Along the way, I enjoy pulling out the key quotes, inspirational concepts, big ideas from the books. You can think of these as the greatest hits or best of moments from my favorite books.

So feel free to jump in, look around and enjoy BookJelly.

I usually dedicate 2-3 hours to reading and writing daily. On the weekends, I commit 7-8 hours – that’s close to 20 hours a week. Enough time for me to formulate some pretty strong ideas about life, and our place in it.

I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I certainly hope that I can inspire you to ask the right questions.

Please join me on this wonderful journey of exploration. Subscribe now to my email newsletter to get my latest thoughts, insights, and ruminations about books.

I hope you find something on my website that adds to your knowledge or at least, nudges you in the right direction. Wishing you the best!
